About Dr. Wade Newman: A Legacy of Service, Skill, and Community-Centered Dentistry

Dr. Wade Newman is a highly respected dental professional whose journey reflects a unique blend of clinical expertise, community service, and steadfast leadership. With over 20 years of experience in general dentistry and oral surgery, he continues to shape the landscape of compassionate, patient-first care in his hometown and beyond.
Before entering the world of dentistry, Dr. Wade Newman laid the foundation of his service-oriented career at Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice. His early years in law enforcement as a police officer exemplified his natural calling to serve. That same commitment would later guide him into the field of dentistry—a decision inspired by a life-changing mission trip to Guatemala during his third year at West Virginia University School of Dentistry, where he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2000.
The urgent dental needs he witnessed abroad ignited his lifelong passion for helping underserved communities. From volunteering locally through Mission of Mercy and Give Kids a Smile, to delivering critical dental care in remote areas of Africa with the Air National Guard, Dr. Wade Newman has spent countless hours on humanitarian efforts, embodying both clinical excellence and personal integrity.
Today, Dr. Newman serves as the founder of Eagle Valley Family Dentistry in Milesburg, Pennsylvania, a practice built on the pillars of quality, compassion, and community connection. Working alongside his son, Dr. Jordan Newman, he leads a team that prioritizes both innovation and individualized care in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.
In addition to his civilian work, Dr. Wade Newman holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air National Guard, having dedicated over two decades to military dental service. His notable deployments have included challenging missions like those in Bani Bangou, Africa, where he provided urgent dental interventions and trained personnel in austere conditions.
Dr. Wade Newman is also a dedicated contributor to the advancement of organized dentistry. He has served as President of the Pennsylvania Dental Association and as a delegate for the American Dental Association, where his leadership continues to influence healthcare policy and education.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Newman remains deeply grounded. He is a proud supporter of Penn State athletics, an avid hunter, and a family man who finds joy in outdoor adventures and quality time with loved ones.
From his early days in law enforcement to his current roles in healthcare and military service, Dr. Wade Newman ‘s story is one of purpose, perseverance, and the enduring belief that dentistry is not just a profession—but a calling to serve others with integrity and heart.
